I help B2B Founders and Directors figure out what marketing they actually need (and it's probably simpler than you think).

How it started

I've been in marketing since 2015 when I boldly told a software company CEO I thought I'd be good at marketing (with zero evidence to back this up).

Surprisingly, he gave me the chance to prove it.

And the rest, as they say, is history. Here’s the pre-LEAP whistle-stop tour:

It all started in SaaS customer service and then I moved into marketing

Gained a CIM qualification from my kitchen table and learnt on the job.

Moved to comms at the University of Exeter

Led on communications strategy and implementation for the capital residences projects.

Marketing lead at the Met Office for aviation weather, transport weather, and partnerships

Created the first partnership marketing blueprint at the Met Office

Delivered high-profile projects with Microsoft, Esri, AWS, and Avtech

Had campaigns featured on Sky News and at COP26.

How it went

In 2022, I launched LEAP, and its purpose was to both simplify marketing and encourage businesses to take more action aligned to where their business was trying to get to.

As their marketing consultant, I would work with them to create a marketing strategy, then I would often take over the implementation and this led to:

  1. Them having a clear plan, but they were super reliant on me, my availability, and my expertise to do the doing

  2. Their team never developed confidence in marketing because they weren't involved in the strategy creation or implementation

  3. The action plan I’d beautifully created in ClickUp was only being used by me to monitor rather than motivate progress

And then I realised…

The best marketing consultancy isn't the one you can't live without. It’s the one that equips you so well that you don’t need them hanging around forever.

How it’s going

I now work with service-based B2B businesses who are ready to take theirmarketing from nowhere to noticed. And I do this through Diagnosis+The Plan, In Practice, and Aftercare.

My goal isn't to create clients for life - it's to create businesses that know exactly what they're doing with their marketing. Whether that's giving you the strategy and confidence to handle marketing in-house, or knowing exactly what to ask for when you outsource.

Right now, I'm working with SME Founders and Directors who've tried marketing before but it didn't live up to expectations, or who know they need a strategy but don't want months of expensive, theoretical work. From start to finish, I work with them to create a brand new marketing strategy and action plan in under a month.

  • I went from employed to self-employed overnight with no existing side-hustle

  • One of my favourite things about working for myself is that I don’t have to ask anyone to take holiday

  • I have a complicated relationship with marketing - I hate marketing 'bros' and get angry at things that prey on people's self-esteem

  • I’ve won national titles and been a European finalist in Latin American dancing

  • I’ve studied literature and my favourite book is still Harry Potter

  • I have a cookbook obsession and get upset if I don’t get one at Christmas

  • I live in the UK’s south west because it’s always felt like coming home

  • I surf (loosely) and have caught waves in the UK, Portugal, Morocco, and Bali

  • Working out how to use leftovers in the fridge and turn them into something tasty is one of my favourite things to show off about
